Installation Procedure

Initial testing and set-up

  1. Use the 12-volt power supply that came with the monitor and connect it to a 120-volt AC outlet. Make sure the monitor powers up by verifying that the green pilot light comes on. The monitor will display the “No VGA input” message and the pilot light will turn amber.
  2. Turn off the monitor and the computer.
  3. Use the VGA cable that came with the monitor and connect it directly to the computer.
  4. Turn on the monitor.
  5. Turn on the computer.
  6. The video card in the computer will detect the monitor and automatically choose suitable settings for viewing.

Please note: Many track systems employ splitters, switches, and other devices that can block the video card’s ability to detect the monitor. It is therefore best to verify the monitor’s working condition by directly connecting it to the computer and bypassing any cabling and electronic devices in between.

Connecting the monitor to the track system

Note: The installation of the monitor to the track system requires two people.

  1. Check the 12-volt supply cable polarity from the track system. The center has to be the positive lead.
  2. If the polarity is correct, connect the track system power cord to the monitor. The monitor will go through the same messaging and green-amber sequence as stated above.
Warning: If the monitor is connected to a reversed polarity supply voltage, the resistor fuse will blow. If this happens, the monitor will have to be sent back for repair.
  3. Turn the monitor and computer off.
  4. Hook up all cables.
  5. Turn on the monitor.
  6. Turn on the computer.
