Low Voltage Monitors

Courtesy of Midmark
Our low voltage dental monitors are specially designed for the operatory. Per the National Electrical Code, the dental operatory is classified as a Patient Care Area, according to code NEC517 and NFPAA99, which was adopted by OHSA. A standard 120 volt monitor is not suitable for these conditions and does not meet these codes.
All of our dental monitors, medical monitors and veterinary monitors have a 12 volt low power supply and can be safely used in the dental operatory and clinic in compliance with codes and regulations.
Patient Care Area: typically in an operatory, this enclosed space is 1.8 m (6 ft) beyond the perimeter of the chair and vertically no less than 2.3 m (7.5 ft) above the floor (99:3.3.140).
