Operatory A working space of a dentist or a surgeon
Dental grade monitor Low voltage with a water sealed screen. 12 volt is classified as low voltage, 120 is not.
Medical grade monitor Low voltage with certifications of UL60601-1 or EN60601-1. 12 volt is classified as low voltage, 120 is not.
Operatory HD Dental monitor HD Dental monitors are designed for operatory use. Unique features are 12 volt power voltage, a water sealed screen, clear inputs (VGA, HDMI, video, S-video, and TV), and it is suitable for diagnosis and patient education or entertainment.
Brightness The emitted luminous intensity on screen measured in candles per square meter cd/m2.
Contrast ratio A ratio of white (output level is 255) and black (output level is 0)
Water sealed screen The monitor screen is water sealed for easy cleaning with disinfectants.
12 Volt power supply Low voltage power for the “patient care area” to ensure safety and comply with codes and regulations.
ATSC A set of standards developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee for digital television transmission. The video signal is transmitted from digital to digital.
NTSC National Television System Committee, is the analog television, 30 frames transmitted per second. Each frame is made up of 525 individual scan lines.
HDMI HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transmitting uncompressed digital data.
DVI Digital Visual Interface, converts analog into digital signals to accommodate both analog and digital monitors.
