Verification: If there is a problem with the monitor it is a good idea to test the monitor independently from other equipment.

Verification Procedure:

Plug one end of the power cable to the 120 Volt outlet  and the other end to the monitor.

Turn on the power button.  If the green pilot light is on and the screen says "No Signal" it means the monitor is functioning and is waiting for a signal from the VGA or video input.

No Power

  • Make sure the power button is ON

  • Make sure the power cord is securely connected

  • Plug another electrical device into the power outlet in order to verify that the outlet is not dead

No Video

  • Make sure the video cable is firmly attached to both the LCD and the computer and the power is on

  • Use auto-tuning

  • Make sure the correct input is selected

Intermittent Video Problem

  • Make sure the wire strand in the cable is not broken.  If some of the strands are broken, the output voltage may drop considerably and may cause unstable video images.

Images Unstable

  • Make sure all connections are secure

  • Make sure D-Sub pins are straight

  • Adjust brightness and contrast ratio

  • Use auto-tuning

  • Use the 12V power cord to connect to the monitor and an AC power cord to connect to a 120 AC outlet.  The green pilot light will come on and if the monitor displays "no signal" (monitor is asking for signal), it means the problem lies elsewhere, not with the monitor.
